Memory Work : Bible Verses

Many schooling phylosopies highlight the value of memory work. After consulting with my daughter, we chose to add in memory work in 2nd grade in the form of memory verses from the Bible. There are many great ways to do this. I simply chose a cute book from the Christian Bookstore and we will be working through it this year. In the book, “77 Memory Verses Every Kid Should Know” , you read the verse, write the verse, and color the verse. (In this way, the memory verse practice also works as copy work during the week.) In order to use our environment to enhance this portion of our learning, I am also looking for beautiful imagery to share the verse on the wall of our school room.
